Body:Light brown with black and dark brown "tire tracks" over their body.Very long with body bigger in back.

Sexing:Not known

Breeding:Breeding the tire track eel has not sucessfully been done in captivity.

Special Info:The tire track eel lives in southeast Asia. They are not true eels, they are elongated fish.

Comments:I had two tire track eel that is only supposed to grow to 12". They both lived in a ten gallon tank with a bunch of other fish. The one, Spike, was about four inches long, the other, Good-Year, about five. They would always stay by each other. They were both very active. I had Spike for about a year when I just found him dead in the tank one morning. Good-Year died after abou a week because he jumped out. The tire track eel is very fun to watch and is a great fish, but they are great escape artist.
